Philip is NMSAA, I just can't imagine it on a child.
I do, however, sort of like the European sounding Filip (fee-leep).

Philip is a nice classic name, but I wouldn't use it for the same reason I wouldn't use the other recent RNOTD- I like Philippa on a girl way too much to use Philip on a boy.

Nms. It makes me think of Philip Rivers (football player) and then I hear the stupid commercial in my head.

And he went all PHILIP RIVERS!!!! Drives me crazy!

Blah. I should like it, but it's bland to me. It has no spark at all, nothing to like, nothing to hate.

I think it's a strong, handsome, classic name. However, I do not like it enough to use it.

It's nms. I still picture this name on a guy who is of the baby boomer generation. I can't see it on a baby or young child.
