I wouldn't use a first and last name from a movie/comic/book, because it seems to attach the person to that thing too much. What if they don't like it? So, I'd use Jonathan, Damien, or Dorian, or use Crane, Thorn, or Gray as a middle name, but I wouldn't actually use 'Jonathan Crane,' 'Damien Thorn,' or 'Dorian Gray.'

I like the name Alasdair/Alastair, but I think Aleister would get pronounced al-ee-ster a lot. Even Aleister Crowley thought the spelling was 'atrocious.'

Quote:
Aleister Crowley fulfilled these conditions and Aleister is the Gaelic form of Alexander. To adopt it would satisfy my romantic ideals. The atrocious spelling A-L-E-I-S-T-E-R was suggested as the correct form by Cousin Gregor, who ought to have known better. In any case, A-L-A-S-D-A-I-R makes a very bad dactyl.

Ivy Faye and Selina Faye are lovely!

Mystique seems trashy, Nemesis can be used as a word for an enemy. I wouldn't want to be called Barbarella myself.

I'm sure lots more of those connect to literature, music, movies, etc. but I just put whatever first came to mind.

From your original list, I love Ivy and Selena (prefer this spelling, it's more like the goddess, Selene!) especially. Scarlet, Damian, and Alasdair are quite nice as well.
