Was a top contender for us, if we had our girl.

Delia is cute, but I MUCH prefer the similar Delilah.

Very cute, but I keep feeling like something's missing. I keep wanting to read it as Delilah, but there's obviously letters missing so it throws me off.

Delia is not really a unique name. There has been a store called Delia's that has been around for at least 15 years or more.

And the name Delia has been around for a lot longer than that!

DELIA (1)
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English, Italian, Spanish, Greek Mythology
Other Scripts: Δηλια (Ancient Greek)
Pronounced: DEEL-ee-ə (English), DEEL-yə (English) [key]
Means "of Delos" in Greek. This was an epithet of the Greek goddess Artemis, given because she and her twin brother Apollo were born on the island of Delos. The name appeared in several poems of the 16th and 17th centuries, and it has occasionally been used as a given name since that time.

I like it. Very pretty, and it's not all that common.

I just read a series of books where Delia was the protagonist. I like it, but wouldn't use it myself.

I personally think it is unique and I like it! Classy, but not overused. (And I bought clothes from Delia's once upon a time, and that doesn't bother me at all when thinking of a name. Neither would Victoria if I shopped at Victoria's Secret, lol.)

it is unique as a baby name, as it hasn't been in the top 1000 names in the USA in the last couple of years and before that was in the low 900s only for a few years.
