We like Giovanna or Jovanna for a girl. I think the spelling looks prettier for the first variation, but we like the nickname Jovie. Is there a way to use Jovie with the first spelling? Giovie looks a little confusing....Ideas?

I don't think that Giovie looks confusing at all. I really like it.

I think you can use whatever spelling nickname you want for which name you chose. Giovanna nn Jovie is adorable

I've known a few moms who have a Catherine that goes by Kate and it's sort of similar the C/K and the G/J. I think it's fine to use the J spelling.

I think Giovi looks cute. Giovie isn't bad either. My tendency would be to stick with the G if you use that spelling, but I don't think there is anything wrong with a G/J combo.

I agree that you could use Giovanna, with Jovie or Giovie as a nickname, My only complaint would be that I'm way too reminded of Bon Jovi. I'd prefer Gia, Ana, etc.

I'd use Giovanna nn Jovie, since I do think Giovie looks kind of off and I don't like Jovanna much. Jovie is an adorable nickname, I love it!

Thanks for the help ladies!! I was never one to listen to Bon Jovi so that doesn't bother me much

I think the Jovie works perfectly fine as a nickname for Giovanna.
