So here's the deal! And I'm sure you guys can help

I'm expecting a boy in April, and the name we're *pretty* sure we've settled on is Isaac Naphtali (NAH-FF-tall-ee). Basically, it means "through my struggles came laughter/joy", which fits the situation perfectly. So I don't want to change that.

Unfortunately, a dear friend of mine and my husband's recently passed away. We'd love to use his name, Solomon, to honor him.

But Isaac Naphtali Solomon is quite a mouthful. What do you think? Too long? Or, since he won't be going by his middle names anyways, does it not matter?

Just something we're considering.

Yeah, since you'll rarely use his full name for anything, who cares how long it is? It means something to you and Dh, so go for it!!!

It IS long, but I can understand doing it if each name has special significance. Would you consider flipping the two middle names? Isaac Solomon Naphtali looks better written out to me... I think because of the I's on each end.

I think its nice to honor your friend and you won't use all three names on a daily basis so its fine imo.
