What do you think of the name Esmé for a girl? It is pronounced Ez-i-may....I thought of it last night b/c my favorite story by my favorite author J.D. Salinger is "For Esmé with love and squalor" (heres a link to the story http://www.freeweb.hu/tchl/salinger/squalor.html if you havent read it its amazing!)And I absolutely fell in love with the little girl in this story the first time I read it...WDYT??

If its a boy, I've gone back and forth alot but I'm pretty sure I'm going with Julian Mansfield...I've just always loved the name Julian and I am a huuuge John Lennon fan, and thats the name he chose for his son (who was also the inspiration behind the song "Hey Jude" which is my all time favorite song!) and Mansfield is after my grandfather. For a girl, at first it was either gonna be Avarie or Mattea, but ever since I thought of Esme I cant get that out of my head (I really want a name w/meaning behind it, not just one that sounds cute!) but I'm not sure if I'll use it as a mn or a first name....I still have like 6.5 months so I'm not in a huuuuge rush!

I like Esmé, it's very French. I went to a French school and we had a teacher by that name, it was pronounced Ez-may. Pretty.
