What do you think of giving a child an ethnic name that is not your ethnicity?

It doesn't matter to me, I love named that don't have to do with my ethnic background. As long as it sounds nice, i'm ok.

I don't mind to an extent.....But it when the parents insist on such pronouncing it in a way that's not familiar to their culture it gets annoying. Kind of like their saying their childs name with a fake accent. Kwim?

Personally I wouldn't do it... for the same reasons as listed above. Plus it seems kind of... kind of pretentious I guess. Just MHO
