I don't like the name at all. Morrison is a last name that IMO doesn't work as a first name... and I don't like the spelling. The name is very masculine.

That is quite possibly the least feminine name I have ever heard on a little girl...what parent would do that? First of all, anything ending with the suffix "son" means "son of" (like Johnson means "son of John", Jackson means "son of Jack", etc.) and changing a "son" to "syn" doesnt change that, it just makes the name look silly....so the name basically means "Son of Morris".....that poor girl!

Not my style, even with the y subbed for the o it still sounds masculine to me. Not all surnames can be successfully femininized for girls first names. JMO.

I don't mind the name, just not on a girl. I think of it more of a last name.

I totally agree with your post.
It is my pet peeve when people change the spelling of names to something weird just so it can be used on a girl. It looks dumb plus what is the point when the name still SOUNDS the same no matter how it is spelled.
