So we are having our 3rd daughter in August. I was wondering if you could give me some input. Right now the possible names are in no particular order:

Maddilyn----nickname Maddi
Maddison---nickname Maddi
Avarie/Avery---nickname Ava

What do you think goes best with our other daughters names Emma and Olivia? My mom AND mother-in-law are suggesting something very feminine and elegant since Emma and Olivias names are elegant and feminine.

Also, when you hear the name Avery do you think boy name or girl name?

What do you think about using Ava on it's own? I think it's beautiful "as is". Otherwise I like the spelling Avery. I love Madelyn but spelled like that, rather than the way you had posted. (Sorry I'm just not a fan of "creative" spellings). I think Madelyn and Ava sound really nice with your other daughters names.

I love Madelyn spelled that way also. I should've clarified that name spelling is still up in the air. I have a distant friend whose daughter is named Ava so I don't know if I want to "steal" it. However, if her nickname is going to be Ava maybe I should anyways..

I say if it's just a distant friend it's not stealing it. If Ava is what you want to use anyway, go for it! I do love Avery, I think it's beautiful for a girl. I just like Avery and Ava separately.

I agree with the Ava suggestion I think what makes your girls' names so feminine is ending in an A. So Ava fits in beautifully

ETA if you really like Maddi, you could always go with Madelina to make it more feminine

I like Avery the best, spelled this way. Avary is just too close to ovary I LOVE Ava, but I think it sounds really similar to Olivia because of the v's and a's in both names, so I actually prefer Avery with your sibset.

If you go with one of the other names on your list, I prefer them spelled this way:
Madison
Madelyn

I think many of the names that end with -ana would be beautiful with your sibset too!
Juliana
Mariana
Liliana

I also love Charlotte or Francesca with your sibset

I adore the name Avery (I could be biased)...but I think Madeline works best with your other daughters names because it is more of a classic feminine name. I tend to prefer classic spellings, which is why I put Madeline...but I realize not everyone does.

Maddilyn is beautiful but I also prefer other spellings like Madilyn, Madelyn, Madeline.

I love the name Avery and we considered it for DD's middle name.

Maddison is too recent of a name to go with your sibset and I think of it as being paired with names like Caeden, Braeden, Jaeden, etc... I also find it's way too popular. It's been on the top 10 list in our province since 1995 (once or twice being number 12 or so.)

I think any of the names would fit in with your sibset as they're all common girls names BUT I think Madelyn or Ava go the BEST with your girls names; Avery and Madison are not as feminine.

I like Madeline (mad-uh-line) and love Ava with your girls! If its a distant friend, I would hardly consider using a name as popular as Ava stealing

Avery feels a little masculine to me, especially when compared to Emma and Olivia, which are so feminine!

I also really like Ava with your sibset.
I have only known one Avery and he was a boy so I tend to lean toward boy with that name.
