Hello! I am new to the board and we are expecting our first in November! We have awhile, but we have started compiling a long list of names. Luckily SO and I have similar taste.

Our naming style is pretty eclectic and all over the place. We are both artistic and inspired by literary/musical names or names with a history or story behind it. We seem to like place names and names with a bit of a southern twist as well. I like Shakespearian/Vintage girls names and "cowboy" boys names, but he has nixed a lot of those (Cecilia, Lydia, Cordelia, Sawyer, Wyatt, Jasper...)

Also, we both have color/gemstone middle names, so we have considering carrying that on as well!

Here are our lists. Our very favorites (at least for today ) are in bold. Please feel free to comment, make combos and make suggestions ESPECIALLY for the girls. There isn't anything really jumping out to us there.

Thank you!

How about Asher Hayes and Everly Scarlett for combos? I like both of those a lot! I also like Amelia for a first name.

I like:
Hudson and Asher the best of your boys names. Hudson Gage or Asher Hayes are both great combos!

For the girls, I LOVE Scarlett. If you want to go with a gem name, I think Sapphira is a really great name!

You have some great names! Will you be finding out the sex? My favorite for boys are

Asher, Lennox, & Cruz. I think the combo of Asher (FN) Lennox (MN) works great together and would also work in reverse, Lennox Asher.

For girls my favorites are Georgia (you dont hear that name too much anymore and its beautiful and also historic) Emerson and Harper. I also love the combo of Emerson Scarlett - beautiful!

Congrats and keep us posted!

I like carrying on the middle name trend. It's something that can be further passed down and can mean a lot.

I think Southern names would definently fit your trend. Look into placenames or southern figures. I'm surprised Mason didn't fit into your list.

Georgia is a lovely name.

Thank you for all of the combos...I'm really liking them all! I'm LOVING the Scarlett combos. They're giving me a little more confidence in our girls name choices!

What do you think about Arabella Justice?

We definitely want to find out the sex. SO is convinced that it's a boy and I think it's a girl...so I guess we'll find out who's correct in a few months Anxiously awaiting!

I don't care for Arabella Justice. Justice feels too masculine... I could handle Arabella Justine though.

I think we have a similar taste in names

I like:
Hendrix
Asher
Hudson
Maddox (was a contender for if DD2 was a boy)
Phoenix
Justice
Cruz (love it!)
Luca (LOVE it, DD2 could have had this as a m/n if she was a boy)

Everly
Harper
Sienna
Georgia (this was verrry nearly my youngest DD's middle name)
Story
Emerson (my 10mo DD is Emersyn)
Scarlett
Valentina
Harlow (love love love! I think if I had another DD she'd be a Harlow)

My favourite two are Harlow & Luca

ETA: on the Georgia note, DD1 has a friend named Georgiana (Georgey-ah-na)

I <3 Hayes!! Soo cute.

I think Georgia and Scarlett are my favorite girl names you listed.

I love those names together Georgia, Scarlett and Hayes all have a lovely southern feel to them. Another great Southern named that would go well with those is Dalton.

Scarlett and Dalton CUUUTE.
