DH & I really like, and I know it's an irish name (we're not irish), so would that be awkward to use?

You don't have to ask, yes we know what causes it, and since you're asking and dont, google might be a nice place to start.

If you love it, I think it is okay to use it. I personally do not choose to use names that are really strongly tied to a specific nationality unless it happens to be part of our ethnic makeup, but I don't have a problem with other people deciding to use a name purely because they like it.

I know at least 3 guys named Sean that aren't Irish and this feels similiar to me. The name is nms but I think it's perfectly acceptable to use it even if you aren't Irish.

I think it's fine to use even if you aren't Irish!
