We are expecting #2...

Our daughter's name is Leah Lochlyn Walker.
We really like the name Kate if we have another girl. I want to use a middle name with "Jo" in it after my aunt who passed away, so I was thinking naming #2 Kate Jocelyn if it's a girl.

I think Leah and Kate sound good together as a sib-set. Would their middle names be too "matchy" though??

I like it. It is a little matchy, but that would not bother me a bit.

I think it's cute. Leah and Kate are really good together. The middle names are a little matchy but meh - not a big deal. My only complaint would be that it sounds reminiscent of Kate Gosselin, who has a daughter names Leah. *shrug*

Here's a list of a bunch more "Jo" names. Some of them are iffy at best - weird alternate spellings, etc - but lots of them are cute if you're looking for some more ideas. Jo names beginning with Jo- for baby girls

I like the names together (as a sibset, and as first & middle name combos)

It does sounds like Kate Gosselin, lol!! I didn't even think about that! I guess that's one reason it flows really well to me, because I've heard something similar for the past... what? 5-6 years? Oh well, I still like it

I like it!!!! I wouldn't worry about the similarity of the middle name sounds b/c in every day life you won't be calling them by their mn's so I don't think that is a big deal.
I wouldn't be bothered by the Kate Gosselin thing either.
Leah and Kate are both beautiful names. I think you should go for it!

I like Kate Jocelyn and even though they do match I don't think its really a bad thing.

I think Kate is a darling name, and it goes nicely with Leah.

I don't mind two matching middle names, however would you feel stuck into the matchy middle name pattern if you had a third child? Thats the only concern that personally comes to mind!

Thanks y'all!

Liz - We are only having two kiddos (I'm pretty sure anyway... lol) But I definitely see your point!
