Call me crazy but I am already thinking about names for our next kid. I want names that are classic (like Peter) and are not incredibly common....

Some of my ideas are Lois for a girl but then are just too similar to Family Guy (Peter and Lois) or Martha....

I like Henry and Lukas for boys, but they are awfully common these days....

Any ideas?

My first thought was Charlie. I think Peter and Charlie are so cute together.

ditto'ing Charlie!

You could have Charlie for a boy & Charlotte for a girl - Peter and Charlotte go nicely together, and you can use the n/n Charlie (if you desired)

Abraham, Adam, Alfred, Arthur, Aubrey, Bernard, Bertram, Caspar/Casper, Charles, Colin, Edward, Felix, Francis, Frederick, George, Harry, Hugh, Jasper, Jeremy, Jonas, Julian, Laurence/Lawrence, Lewis, Louis, Martin, Neil, Nicholas, Raphael, Raymond, Robert, Robin, Simon, Solomon, Stephen, Thomas, Trevor, Tristan, Victor, Zachary

Adela, Adele, Alice, Anne, Augusta, Aurelia, Beatrice, Beatrix, Belinda, Bridget, Camilla, Cecilia, Cecily, Celia, Clara, Corinna, Daphne, Davina, Dorothy, Edith, Eliza, Eloise, Emmeline, Estelle, Eve, Florence, Frances, Georgiana, Gwendolen, Harriet, Helen, Helena, Ingrid, Jane, Judith, Laura, Laurel, Leonora, Louisa, Louise, Lucinda, Maria, Marianne, Matilda, Olive, Rosalie, Rosalind, Rose, Rosemary, Susan, Susanna/Susannah, Tabitha, Vera, Verity, Veronica

Some of these, like Laura and Nicholas, were quite popular in the past, but are starting to fall in popularity now so they won't be so common for this generation.

Eloise and Louisa/Louise are similar to Lois without the Family Guy connection.

I like Martha a lot.

I'm definently not a fan of Martha. I love Jane as a very classic girl's name and Lucy is also quite nice with Peter.

Do you have any family history records? Going back into the family tree might inspire some names.
