the Beckham's named their little girl 'Harper Seven'... wdyt??? I"m presuming the 'Seven' is pronounced 'Si-ven' [as in sip, silver, sit]

I love Harper, and think it goes well with Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz.... not so sure about Seven though...

Ew! They had ONE girl, why would they not name her something feminine! They only have one chance!

I'm not a fan of the name Harper. It reminds me of a woman who harps and harps and harps.

I think it goes well enough with her brothers' names though.

Harper's alright, though I wouldn't personally use it.

I thought that they named their kids all after where they were conceived though?

I'm not a fan of Harper at all, but I think Seven is adorable, and have for as long as I can remember. For me it's in the same vein as days of the week, months, and seasons, lol. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if it's pronounced just like the number. I think "seven" is cute as the number, but dislike it pronounced wrong, lol.

I don't like either. She is so high fashion I thought she'd chose an elegant classic girls name. I'm totally baffled by this choice! I thought she'd go over the top girl since she has all boys!

I guess I just was expecting something really WOWing from the Beckhams. Harper is such a celeb favorite, it is so ... average, now, I guess. Its a nice name, I really liked it before it became so common. I just assumed they had chosen something a little more exciting.
I heard Seven is due to David B's old soccer number, as well as her weight/time of birth/lucky number? However it was just on the radio, so it could all be made up

I think it is b/c of David's old number, along with the fact that she had a 7 in each of her time of birth, date of birth, and weight.

I really like her name.

I like Harper, but its basically ruined for me now lol. I like the Beckhams but there will be so many little Harpers now. I like the significance of Seven more than I actually like it as a name.

I like Harper, but it's becoming too popular. I honestly never even heard the name until Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place. Then I started hearing it everywhere.

If my DH was an athlete, even on a scale not as grand as DB, and his number was 7 I would absolutely use it! I think it's sweet. Harper is cute too. I agree that there will be too many now because of this though. Harper is much sweeter than Shiloh, Apple or Grier. I like it . Yay for them for getting their girl (for the record, I hate "Romeo")

I agree with the others, I thought she would go with something a little more unique and feminine. Harper is ok but I wouldn't use it.

Love it! Harper is a great choice! I'm sure Seven has some meaning to them, and that trumps how it sounds. I think it's very important to have meaning/significance in a name...rather than just picking something that sounds good. It sure beats the heck out of GRACE, ROSE or any other filler mn! I'd rather be a little unique than a follower anyday.
