I just played a game where the main bad guy was named Genesis.

I don't really like it. I don't feel like it is a usable name.

I think it could work in certain situations (like the first born child, a child born after a very large age gap, etc), but I think most of the time it just doesn't fit. It's like the name Christmas. It'd kind of cute on a Christmas baby, otherwise it's just silly.

Yeah, I don't care for this name at all unless it has some kind of special meaning to the parent(s).

Where I live its really popular. I know of 4,one being my husbands niece. She goes by Gen alot though.(pronounced the same as Jen)
