I am 11 wks so we still have awhile but we both have agreed on this name if the baby ends up being a boy. Which spelling do you like better? I love the Bohen spelling but want to make sure it's obvious to people what the name sounds like.

Also for middle names we like it to be named after somebody. Both of our grandfather's middle names were/are Harold, I think that will be the middle name even though I really don't like the name. Any alternatives to Harold as a middle name?

Now to figure out a girls name...... always so much harder.

Bowen Harold is a very nice name. I would prefer Bodhi/Bode/Bodie Harold though

I like Bowen better, but there's nothing wrong with Bohen either. I think either one would be fine.

Bowen Harold's not bad! Alternatives to Harold - anything that starts with "har" would probably work:

Hardwick
Harding
Harland
Harper
Harry
Harrison
Hartley
Harvey
Darold
Herod (I wouldn't necessarily recommend this one for usage, but it could work)

And according to thinkbabynames.com, the following are all variants of Harold:
Araldo, Aralt, Aroldo, Arry, Garald, Garold, Hal, Harald, Haralds, Harolda, Haroldo, Harrell, Harry, Heraldo, Herlad, Herold, Herrold, Herrick and Herryck.

Ahh you ladies were supposed to be like Bohen is so much better.... then I could show DH and say these professionals () No what they are talking about! Now I can't show him.... and try to get used to it spelled that way! I'm not sure what it is. Maybe b/c the "owen" is all below the dotted line(If that makes sense!) My name is Ashley obviously so I have the h and l, DH is Nick so he has the dot plus the k, DS is Deyton so the t plus the y goes below, and DD is Kaylin so the y and the l. I'm so weird... I know.

Actually, I know what you're talking about with the dotted line.

EOGHAN is the Irish spelling of Owen. You could do Beoghan!

I love the name! But I like it spelled Bowen, that way there's no confusion. I like Bowen Harold, but you could also use:
Bowen Harrell
Bowen Herrick
Bowen Haralds
Bowen Hal
Great choice though! Love it! Congrats on your pregnancy!

In my husbands family (and actually in all the Jewish people I know), they take the first letter to honor the deceased. So we are using an "S" middle name to honor his grandpa and his best friend who passed.

Oh and Bowen is awesome.
