We are having a girl and can't agree on a name. Our son is Alexander Lee (we call him Alex) and we were thinking of Ada Margaret for a girl. Margaret was my grandmother's name and is my mom's middle name.
But now we are considering the name Myka and I think Myka Margaret is a bit much. Any suggestions for a middle name? My mom's first name is Edna, but she would kill us if we used it. Other family names are Theresa, Marie, and Adelaide. Another option is no middle name (I don't have one).
We also like the name Adalyn instead of Ada. As you can see, we need a lot of help...lol!
My family background is Dutch and French. Myka is actually a Dutch name (but spelled Maaike or Maike in Holland).
Myka Adelaide is cute, and so is Adelaide Margaret, called Ada. I don't think Myra Margaret is too much if you love it. One repeated sound isn't a big deal, especially since she won't be called Myka Margaret normally anyways.
You could always use Adelheid! It's very German/Dutch, honors Adelaide, and leads very well to the nickname Heidi.
Idea from Edna:
Ena (Hebrew, means "renewer)
Eda (old English, means "strife for wealth")
Eden (Hebrew, Biblical)
Nedra (old German, means "underground")
Enid (Welsh, means "soul, life")
