I am sooo torn. We don't know if we are having a girl or a boy, but if we have a girl I get to name her. I simply cannot decide which one!

We have narrowed it down to:

Avery Elizabeth
Lauren Rebecca

Both middle names are special to us (our sisters names).

If it were your baby girl, which would you choose?

I should mention that Avery (for a girl) was #20 in my province last year. Lauren did not make the top 25. Not sure if I am going to let that effect my decision or not.

I love Lauren, but I also love Avery. I guess it depends...Lauren is very classic and simple, where Avery is more trendy and unisex.. Whatever fits the style you're going for! They're both gorgeous names!

Well, that's an easy one for you. I don't care at all for Avery, and obviously I have a soft spot for Lauren. So I vote for Lauren Rebecca.

Lauren Rebecca, because it's a definitely girl name. Avery is very neutral these days (boy IMO).

^^I completely agree. I only know 1 Avery and it is a little boy. I think Lauren Rebecca is a BEAUTIFUL, feminine name.

Lauren Rebecca - so beautifully feminine both first and middle names! Avery is too unisex for me. Good luck deciding!

Sorry. I meant to say it's an easy choice for ME, not for YOU. I apologize for my fingers betraying me, and no offense intended!

Hmm...I like both of these. I like Avery better as a first name, but Rebeca better as a middle name. (But I don't think that Avery Rebeca works well as a combo).

Overall, my vote would be for Lauren Rebeca. It's very soft, beautiful, and feminine.

Lauren Rebecca. I don't really like Avery, to be honest and I have a strong aversion to using popular names.

For me it's close, but Lauren Rebecca wins by a smidge.

Wow, Avery Elizabeth strikes me as a really beautiful name. Seems to roll off the tongue better than the other, IMO.

Even though Avery is technically used for a boy as well...it is VERY feminine to me. Once names go feminine they rarely seem to go back to being more of a boys name; think Allison and Aubrey. I'm not a huge fan of popular names either, but Avery Elizabeth is more current and Lauren Rebecca sounds like a girl born in the 80's. It's a very attractive name, but maybe dated?

Whenever I'm super stuck between two options I just pick one and if I feel at all disappointed that means the other is the best option! Try it and see how it works.

Avery Elizabeth!

I agree with Katie as Lauren Rebecca is beautiful but more of an 80's name.
