Hunter? We were trying to find a good strong name and we found it, but I was curious as to how popular it really is. His middle name will be Alan.

Thanks ladies

My nephew is Hunter and a friend of mine has a Hunter Alan! I know quite a few more.

In the year 2000 it was #35 and in 2010 it was #59.

I think I've only met 3 or 4 kids named Hunter in real life, I know 1 adult with that name. But it's #59 in terms of the SSA list.

I think it's popular, but not extremely popular.
I really like that name.

My nephew's name is Hunter Michael Peter. I LOVE the name and he's the only one I know. I think it's so strong and classic.

TY ladies for the replies. I have never met another Hunter before...And never actually saw the name used anywhere until we settled on that being his name LOL Now I see it everywhere, which is what prompted the question!

So weird that there are so many, but cool too I think its a great name!

I would say its semi-popular but its only #59 so you probably won't run into too many. I personally only know 2... one who is 5 and one who is 19.
