hmm...

Skylar nn Sky, Skya
Cameron nn Cami
Jaiden nn Jade

as far as initial names I love TJ. For something more traditional I like Thomas James if you want something more uncommon maybe Theo Jude.

I don't think very many names are legitimately unisex. The only one that comes to mind is Quinn, and it doesn't have a nickname. The next closest is Leighton (though I think it's girly) but it also doesn't have a nickname.. sorry I'm usually to you here.

Initials, I think T.J. is cute. I knew a Thomas Jonah in high school, but there are lots of combinations.

Thomas
Tiberius
Talon
Talbet
Tag
Trent
Trevor
Tristan
Troy

Jacob
Joshua
Jace
Jason
Justin
Julian
Jack
Jared
Jonas
Judah
Jonah
Jasper
Jesse
Julius

Quinn is alright for a unisex name, though I think of it more 'boy' but as a whole I'm not very fond of the whole unisex thing.

I love J.J./J.D./J.T. combinations:

John Joseph
James Joseph

John Donald
John David
John Daniel

John Theodore
John Tyler

Hmm, probably Quinn, although I would only use that for a girl and there's no nn. So I guess Skylar/Skyler, nn Sky.

I don't really like any "initial names".

Somehow I missed that you wanted to put the unisex name on a girl. Reading comprehension fail. Since I think that most names called "unisex" are really owned by girls (at least now they are, even if they didn't start off the way), this makes it easier for me.

My favorite would be Morgan, though it has no nicknames and I actually prefer it on boys. Other than that, there's

Peyton nn Pey
Addison nn Addie
Madison nn Maddie
Ainsley

And then I think that Andy and Alex are really cute on girls usually, but their roots aren't unisex - Andrea, Alexandra, yadda yadda.

Just some ideas for unisex names... none of these are favorites or anything like that.
Cameron "Cami"
Cassidy "Cassie"
