What do you think of the name Delano for a boy, possibly with the nn Dell? It's a real name, obviously, a la FDR. I thought of it the other day and think I kind of like the sound of it.

I much prefer Delaney to Delano.

Is Delano pronounced De-lah-no or De-lay-no?

I'm not a huge fan. I prefer Delany too, but I think that's more feminine.

What about just Delan? or Dylan?

I'm not a fan, sorry. And, Dell just makes me think of the computer company.

It's not my style, but it's certainly not a "bad baby name" either. I like the historical connection more than the sound of the name.

I didn't even connect the historical part of the name until OP pointed it out.
