Janyssa is pretty but not my style. I can't see Delight as a name. The other person probably did the adult industry comparison because a lot of adult actresses use words like that for their names.

I also agree. And there's a song called "Afternoon Delight" that's very.. erm.. suggestive? That comes to mind, too.

However, maybe you changed the spelling a little it would change the association? What about Delitte or Delyte, or even Delite?

I think a lot of times words like Delight, Candy, Honey...those types of things are words people use for their 'stage names', it's a stereotype but that's what comes to people's mind sometimes regarding those types of names.

I like Janyssa and I understand why you like Delight, but I agree with pp. Maybe use something like Delight like...
Janyssa Delilah
Janyssa Delia
Janyssa Delaney

I understand. It's just something I have never be exposed to so I had no idea. It's better to find out now!

The other stage names you mentioned don't seem that cut and dried, though. I do know a Candice who goes by Candy for short. And everyone gets called Honey at some point by family members, but I guess that's different than a name. I do know someone whose first name is Honey. I never saw anything wrong with that either. Or there's the woman I know whose first name is Gay (mind you she's a few generations old--I hope no one would use that name today).

I also agree with all of this.

And I like the suggestion of using Delilah. It's close to the same and is a very pretty name.
