I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Here are the top baby names for 2010. The number in parenthesis is the number of babies born with that name. there were 8,784 babies born here last year, my son being one of them.
I had no idea how popular my son's name was before he was born. I only knew of two other people with his name and they are both adults. my daughter's name isn't on the list.
Rebecca (11/22/07), Nathan (7/31/10), and Thomas (5/3/13)
I find it interesting that the number one names only account for a very small percentage of the births. It means that "super popular" isn't really THAT popular in Nova Scotia. Good to know!
Breast feeding, formula feeding, baby wearing, stroller pushing, VBAC successful, video game playing, extended rear facing, extended harnessing, mac and cheese feeding, vaccine free, happily married, LDS mother to 3 beautiful children. And now you know everything about me.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing.
I'm not very keen on popular names (for that reason. My own name is more unique, and I loved that growing up. . . still do).
But, I have a soft spot for Isabella. I wouldn't use it, but love it.
