A girlfriend of mine has been planning to use the name Taryn Eileen (her mothers name) until last week. Her sister is upset because she is also wanting to use Eileen. This is appearantly a bigger deal to her sister so she asked me to help make a list of middle name options, preferably something that has a family connection or derivative. I thought this would be a great place to start as you ladies are great at this!
Family names are Eileen Mary (mom), Kelly Marie (sis), Mary, Roberta-Bobbie (MiL). Her name is Michelle Suzanne-she hates her mn though. Last name starts with an A.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my awesome siggy!
I am peace, full of unconditional love. I am confident and in tune with the Divine, receptive to guidance.
Eileen is an Anglicized form of EIBHLÍN
EIBHLÍN is an Irish form of Aveline
Aveline is a diminutive of Avila
Avila is a town in Spain (or used to be), and it also thought to be "Derived from the Germanic element avi, of unknown meaning, possibly 'desired'."
That's all from Behind the Name.
It's also a form of Helen, so she could use that or Helena.
She could very easily just use Mary, or Marie (or Maire). Maria, Marian, Miriam, Maryanne, Moriah, Mariah, Moira.
