You use alt codes. Hold down the alt key and type certain codes on the number pad (not the numbers at the top of the keyboard, the ones on the right side). Such as, my husband has an accent in his name, and I type it by holding down the alt key and typing 0233, which makes Geramé.
I don't think there is a special character for C with a line under it, but I might be wrong!
After looking at Irish Obituaries all day I am starting to agree. The only difference I found was when the whole name is typed in capital letters the c is a baby letter. McKAYLA but other than that I haven't seen any typed agjustment to Mc names. Not even McKayla. I think the only place i see the Mc is the sticker on my medical records chart.
