Do you think a one syllable first name sounds good with your last name?
I know a middle name can change the "feel" of it depending on what you choose, but what about when you just say first and last name?

My dad has a one syllable first name and one syllable last name (they're both 3 letters each too). I think it flows fine, but I'm not sure if that is because I've heard it all my life?

We've got a 1 syllable last name and while my husbands shortened name.. Jeff, one syllable I don't think sounds off, it may just be because I've heard it 358938 times too. lol

All of the baby names we have honestly considered have been more than 1 syllable though.. not sure if that says anything or not.

Our last name is one syllable, hubbys name is John, not Jonathan. I feel like our last name is too abrupt (Clarke) for most one syllable names. Only a handful didnt sound weird to me.

one of my DDs has a 1 syllable FN and our LN is 1 syllable. It doesn't bother me that much because of how much I love her name.

With our next baby, one of the nicknames we're considering is 1 syllable too. again, I LOVE the name, so it doesn't bother me

Most names for kids we like are 2-3 syllables but my DH's first name is 1 and it goes fine with our 1 syllable last name.

Just pick a name you like, I don't think it's a problem at all!
