My daughter Sophie will probably be an only child, but I've been having really LOUD biological clock ticking (banging?). I would like a girl as I lost twin girls in 2007 and really grieve their loss.

I am stuck on Sadie at the moment. I just adore its simplicity. It would be Sadie Dianne (Dianne for my MIL) who has been very supportive of us.

Is it's too matchy to go with Sophie? Or would Sophie and Sadie be ok?

Thoughts?

I LOVE both names - Sadie and Sophie - but yes, I think they're too matchy for sister names. They not only start with the same letter, have 2 syllables; but they also both end in the long E sound as well. That's just my opinion though.

I agree with the others, I think it's a little too matchy too. I'm so sorry about your loss

Normally, I would say they are too close but because of the age difference I think it could work. Yes, they are still matchy but in away it could almost honor Sophie and she might be proud of the fact (I would run it by her first).

I'm going to say that it isn't too close, considering there would be like, 7 years between them. one has a long O sound and a soft middle, and the other a long A sound and a hard middle, so I think you are fine.

sorry to hear about your twins

I agree with the two pp. With the age difference, I don't think it would be too matchy.

I know a Sadie and Sophie (and Ava) sibset and they are very close in age.

I think it is adorable with siblings semi-matchy.. Its not too matchy to where they won't be able to tell which one of them you are calling but it is close enough to be cute!

Im sorry about your loss. I would normally say they are too close but with a 7 yr difference, I dont think it would become a problem if you really love it.

They're matchy, yes... but I actually like them together. Got any ideas for a boy name?

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss
I agree that Sophie and Sadie is very matchy, however if that doesn't bother you then who cares? I love the name Sadie so I like it!
