Because apparently I can't. I've been thinking of names FOREVER (or at least since I had my DS and especially since getting pregnant). I like a total of 3 names. Nothing else sounds even remotely good to me and I've poured over names for hours and hours and hours. I feel like this baby will never have a name. I'd like to have a name before she is born because I feel like it will help me connect with her more and it will DEFINITELY help me feel less stressed. I seriously feel like baby names is all I think about now.
My DS name is Gideon. DH decide on that name. It's not my favorite, but it is what it is
The rules:
No Biblical names (because I don't want the whole 'theme' thing)
No made up/fake names (because I don't care for that trend and DH will NOT go for it)
No popular names (as in top 500 or so)
The three names I like are Rowan, River and Remi.
Rowan won't work because it just doesn't flow off my tongue.
She doesn't really seem like a River to me, although this name is my favorite
and Remi seems like too much of a nickname to me and I don't think I could name her Remington because that just seems too weird.
Names that don't start with 'R' are ok too It's completely a coincidence that the names I like do.
So...do you think you can help? Pretty pretty pretty please???

Oh, Kat! I'm with you there. Believe me. Names give me a headache, although not so much anymore (I gave up for a bit...) I've been round and round and I can TOTALLY empathize!
Hmmm... names for your beautiful little girl... (I don't know if any really connect with Gideon )
Haven (I really like this one )
Mira
Abrielle
Everleigh
Camdyn
Harlow
Rory
Blake
Willa
Ember
Aspen
I'm awful at this Check out: Name Nerds! It's Name Nerds' list from the Social Security, but instead of listing by one spelling and rank like SS does, they group all the names' potential spelling together to get a much better idea of where that name (and all possible spellings) lies in the top 7,000 names! I love that site.

Londa- Great suggestions!! A lot on your list DH and I have actually went over
GwynnieLou- I know you're in the same boat as me :/ Thanks for your suggestions too Blake is my guilty pleasure. I love the name!!! BUT had a huge crush on a guy named Blake in high school so I don't think that will work.

Rowan brings me to Grier/Greer (I think there is a celebrity connection here, but I've always thought they complemented each other so nicely); Gideon and Greer.
Rowan, to me, is strong and sophisticated with a touch of femininity without being overly girly. Other names that feel similar to that are: Celia or Cecily, Hadley, Nora, Ruby, Carys, Flannery and Bronwyn.
Gideon and Celia (I think this is darling!)
Gideon and Cecily
Gideon and Hadley
Gideon and Nora
Gideon and Ruby (love this as well)
Gideon and Carys
Gideon and Flannery
Gideon and Bronwyn
River makes me think of Willow; Gideon and Willow.
Also, Hazel, Maren, Ivy, Clara, Esme, Mila and Rose.
Gideon and Hazel
Gideon and Maren (too similar?)
Gideon and Ivy
Gideon and Clara
Gideon and Esme (love this)
Gideon and Rose
Gideon and Mila
Remi (I also like the spelling Remy) brings to mind Romilly nn Romy; Gideon and Romilly.
oh, or maybe Ramona; Gideon and Ramona.
Ramona brings up Ramsey; Gideon and Ramsey.
Remi also brings up other short, nicknamey names; Siri, Luna, Willa, Liv
Gideon and Siri
Gideon and Luna
Gideon and Willa
Gideon and Liv

YAY! So glad you are hooked now, too I love that site, also. I've probably looked over those names literally 20 times now. ALL of them! Even peeked at the boys And then they also have lists for Irish names, Scottish names, strange names, cool names, it's really a fun site to take a gander at! (although I don't think there's a great deal of definitions listed...)
