Achilles was a great warrior during the Trojan War. Have you read "The Iliad" by Homer?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achilles <-- this is a link about it
Cool name!
Oh, I just noticed you spelled it with a "u." Is that a typo?

I don't mind Achilles, but out of curiousity why are you spelling it that way? I read it as Ah-kill-ee-us, I would have never gotten that pronounciation from it...and how is Rion pronounced, like Ryan?

I really like the name Achilles (the way it's spelled in the OP sounds like Ah-kee-leus)
It's what we named our cat and we call her Akela

That is how Achilles is properly spelled, my DH wanted that name exactly. Rion is his middle name (DH's). My other kids are
Torey CHristopher
Ethan Hunter
Ava Madison

Honestly, now that I see your other names I don't think it goes with them at all, sorry! I'm afraid he would feel like the odd man out having siblings with common names.

Do you have a nickname? It seems a little too Pro Wrestlerish, and in this corner....The Mighty Achillies!!!

Rion, reminds me of Orion, the star system and Greek figure

It just reminds me of the Greek warrior. FYI the Achilles Tendon was named for the Achillies warrior becasue that is how he met his doom, an arrow throught the "Achilles Tendon".

It just made me think of achilles heel, meaning a weak spot. He might have been a warrior but he's best known for his weak ankle! So i wouldn't choose it for a name.....

If you read up on the mythology of Achilles, you'll see he was a brave, courageous warrior who helped the Greeks win the Trojan War. I highly recommend reading "The Iliad." PM me if you want any info, I'm a historian.
