We're going to start TTC again in August or September (YAY!), and I've been thinking about baby names. Only girl names, though. Maybe that's a sign?

What do you think of these names in a sibset with Jillian Rose and Lucy Jane? Do you have any other suggestions? Here are my criteria. It has to be an older, classic, non-trendy name. A name that is not heard too often, but is also not unheard of. It can't start with a J or an L or end in the "-in, -en, -on, -an" sound or the long E sound. Middle name has to be one syllable. I'm really stuck on Kate as a middle name. I think it's beautiful!

Annaliese Kate (Annie) I think this one is my my favorite. LOVE the nn Annie.

Eleanor Kate (Ellie) My grandpa's mother's name was Eleanor. I think the nn Ellie is cute, but our cat's name is Ellie. She came with that name and we didn't change it. How weird would it be for our child and our cat to be called the same thing? It's a little sad to think about, but the child would be around a lot longer than the cat would... Is there another nn for Eleanor?

Margaret Kate (Maggie) I really like the nn Maggie, but not sure about Margaret or any other formal version of the name.

Matilda Kate (Mattie) This one is DH's favorite. I love it, in theory, but when I think about using the name Matilda in actuality, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Also, I love the nn Mattie, but I think people hearing it and not seeing it spelled out would assume we were calling her "Maddie," which is a nice name, but that's too common for my tastes. Tilly would be another nn for Matilda, but Tilly rhymes with Jilly, which is what I call Jillian 90% of the time.

Posted in our PR but I'll respond here too. I like all of your list but my absolute favorite is Elanore Kate with the NN Nora!

The only one I don't care for is Matilda only bc the NN Mattie is too common/trendy right now IMHO for what you're going for.

I posted in the PR and am too lazy to repost here Love the first two options, with a preference for Annaliese because I think it fits better with Jillian and Lucy

After reading the top rising names, I think Eloise would be darling, too It would depend on high it rises and how quickly for the whole classic-trendiness thing.

Eleanor Kate is my favorite out of the names you've listed! I love the nickname Elle/Ellie for Eleanor but what we plan to call our Eleanore (which is what we decided to call our first daughter) is Nora...really love it!

with your reasoning I like:
Annaliese Kate (Annie)
Matilda Kate (Mattie)

how about:
Rosalind nn Rosie or Rosa
Cordelia nn Delia

Thanks for the input, ladies! I think Annaliese Kate (Annie) is still my favorite.

I like Felicity (Fee), but it breaks my "can't end in y" rule. I love the nn Fee, though!

I also like Alice a lot, but Ally as a nn is too popular for my tastes.

Cordelia is one to consider.

Cecilia is also one that I like, but had taken if off my list for whatever reason. I may have to add that back to my list.

Thanks again! Now if I have a boy, I'll be in trouble.. I don't even know where to begin there!

I like them all, lol!

I would consider Magnolia or Magdalena over Margaret.
