Hello. My baby girl will be here in 17 days and I need some feedback on potential names. My husband and I cannot agree on anything except the middle name of Kate. We both made a list of names and the other crossed out all but one. So we have Avery and Aubrey. We are trying to compromise and neither name is our favorite. Which name would you choose? Our 2 year old son is Ethan. Thanks for reading!!!
Avery Kate
Aubrey Kate

Aubrey is FAR better than Avery, IMO.
Aubrey is sweet and classic.
Avery is common and trendy.

I also like Aubrey better. Avery is overused. I think you should keep looking though if neither is your favorite.

I think either is fine but Aubrey Kate sounds better to me than Avery Kate. Just a flow thing.
How about Audrey Kate?

What about Audrey?
I don't really like either, but IMO Avery is more overused and trendy than the alternative.

As a pre-k teacher, I have seen 3 Aubreys (one was a boy) and no Avery. I like uniqueness but still prefer Aubrey. I agree, though if you dont love either keep looking...or even wait until you see her!

I prefer Aubrey Kate. I just prefer Aubrey to Avery and I also think the flow is better with Aubrey Kate than Avery Kate.

Wait till baby comes and see which fits or maybe a new name will trump them both.
Why not use Kate as first name? Save one name for next child? Avery is more unisex. Aubrey is cute I think the meaning "ruler of elves" or something like that is a little strange .

I like the suggestion of Audrey.
My oldest is Isla Kate, if you're looking for another name.

I prefer Aubrey, and I like Audrey even better. If I met an Avery I wouldn't be sure if Avery was for a boy or a girl, I think it's kind of ambiguous.

I'm not a fan of unisex names, I feel like it sets the kid up for hassles. Both are unisex, but I think Aubrey is generally more used for females- so it has my vote! I didn't even realize Avery was a girl's name at all.
