I think she got confused and thought girl=boy. No girl should have the name Maxwell Drew. It's a boy's name.
I heard they plan to call her Maxi as a nickname. That poor, poor child!

Wow I thought it was fine until I realized it was a girl. Maxi or Maxine, fine, but Maxwell is a boy's name. :/

That is truly strange for a girl. But whatever it could be worse. Maxi is cute for a girl I know one called Max and it works. Drew should have been spelled Dru.

I absolutely hate it for a girl! My sister told me this earlier and before she mentioned that it was a girl, I loved it! Maxwell should never be a girls name! .. Drew for a girl is alright because I love Drew Barrymore lol!!

I am a huge surname/unisex name for girl, but I think two masculine names is a big no-no!
And Maxi??? Poor girl is going to get "Maxi pad"
I love family tributes, but you can still honor your family and give a lovely name!
That being said, if I actually knew her IRL I think it'd grow on me since the name choice isn't absolutely horrid.

Why not pick a female family member to take the first name from?

I agree but it makes more sense now with her explanation.

I think for someone who has made her living off of being very girly (shoes, hair extensions, her body) that the name is totally off. I get naming a child after family members, but this name is just SO masculine. If she really wanted to use both of the names, I would have much preferred Drew Maxwell, it still might not be very feminine, but at least it's slightly better than Maxwell "Maxi" Drew.

I like it for a boy not a fan for a girl. But I guess it's better than what a lot of celebrities name their kids. Not sure why they didn't wait & name the next kid (hopefully a boy) that name. What are they going to name a boy if they have one? Genevieve Marie????

Horrible for a girl. Maxwell would be ok with a girly middle name like Elizabeth or even Jessica! But both names together are simple horrible for a girl.
