These are the two names we are considering for a girl:
Ryleigh Marie
Hannah Marie

A little background: We had a m/c about a year ago. We have been ttc for a year and a half. I found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks after finding my birthmother and birthfather and finding out that my birthmother died 7 years ago. Riley was her maiden name. I feel like it is all just a little too much to be a total coincidence that all this happened at once. I also found out that she had regretted the decision to put me up for adoption. She ended up marrying my birthfather about 2 years after I was born. He didn't know about my birth until a year later. They had 2 other children as well. I was just happy to find out that I was loved by them and that she would have been excited to meet me.

I vote for Ryleigh both because of your story (how sweet!) and I think it goes better with your other children's names

I go with Hannah Marie, is it because Hannah means "God has favored me". Because in bible, Hannah asked God to bless her with a child, and her prayer was answered. Since, it is a name for your baby, and God bless you to have a baby, you can name her Hannah.

That is kind of what I was thinking, that it goes better with the other names. I love Hannah, but it seems a little common compared to my other kids' names.

I prefer Ryleigh, even before reading the rest of your story. The personal significance would seal the deal for me

I would go for Ryleigh after listening to your story. Moreover, Hannah has become a common name after Hannah Montana.

When you add up the spelling variations, Riley/Ryliegh/Rylee/Ryley and so on is actually given to more baby girls now than Hannah and it's few variants.

I'd suggest Hannah Riley, or maybe Hannah Riley Marie.

Ryleigh Marie

I think it's really best for your baby's name. Also, it's good to share the story to the baby once she asked the origin of her name. Your story is wonderful. You also gave a twist to your birthmother's name Riley and that's so unique. It would make your mother glad that you gave your child a name after hers.
