We aren't even TTC, I just have baby fever and thought that if we have another girl I would like to name her Vada (vay duh) like from the movie My Girl. My husband is not into the baby subject at all right now so I don't know what he thinks, but what do you girls think. I already have a son Cole and daughter Audrey and don't know any other kids with those names...there are alot of aubreys but no audreys around our town..

What do you ladies think of Vada, but I was thinking of spelling it Vayda so people aren't as likely to mispronounce it...

I like it but would use the Vayda spelling. When I saw the post I read it as Vah dah.

I actually really like Vada and I think it would go well in your set. I personally prefer the Vada spelling.

I think it's pretty as well. But I personally would prefer Vayda too, especially since people where I live always always mispronounce names lol. Vayda is really pretty.

I just saw this name used on a Baby Story. I wish I could recall the middle name they paired it with because I thought it was really pretty. All I can remember is it had a "y" in it...not helpful, I know. :/ But I like it. It's pretty and unique!

I think people might pronounce it more correctly spelled with the 'y'.

I automatically think of My Girl when I hear it, with a second thought of Darth Vader.

The middle name I think of is Vayda Grace or Vayda Rose..If we have another girl in the future I REALLY hope my husband decided he likes the name as well.

I just remembered late last night. Things drive me nuts until I can think of them! It was Elyse, Vada Elyse. I really like Rose and Grace as MNs though too. Those are both on my list for MNs. I have to agree that I prefer the Vada spelling though. I know it would be more likely mispronounced, but it looks prettier to me.

My Girl is one of my favorite movies, so I know how to pronounce it and much prefer the Vada spelling.

I like the Vada spelling better too, but am afraid that as she grows up and My Girl gets older and older, people really really start mispronouncing it..we will see..

I like it, as long as your last name isn't Sultenfuss! LOL. I also prefer the Vada spelling.

I agree-very pretty name, but likely to be mispronounced a lot if spelled Vada, rather than Vayda. Hopefully you can get your hubby on board!
