I don't frequent this board much...but have been lurking a little more lately as we are searching for some names for future sons (since we used the two on our list!). But anyway, I thought I would respond on this thread cause it is pretty interesting
~First that there is only ONE Aiden and ONE Liam! That surprises me, since the names have been climbing the popularity list for quite some time. Although I bet the list in a couple years time will have them gracing it more than just once.
~That one of the most repeated names is Angel? Wow, totally would not have called that one. What gender is that anyway? Not that it much matters, I would guess more boys than girls? I dunno. But it surpised me as pulling in MORE common than Jacob, Abigail, and Alexander.
~DAT???? Need I say more?
~So many "made-up" spellings. Weird letter placement and phonetically incorrect pronunciation. It doesn't surprise me any more. But doesn't mean it is less annoying.
~The fact that Abel, Alfred, Darlene, and Karen are on the list at all. I have not heard those on a child in decades. Somewhat refreshing, in my opinion, even if they aren't my style.
Names I *might* consider on that list: Anastasia, Chase, Elyza (but I would spell it Eliza), and Ezra. Clearly Liam would be on that list if I didn't already have one.
Very interesting lot of names. Looks heavy on trendy names, but there is a good bit of "classic" or "retro" thrown in as well.
I work in the After-school program, and of all the years (6) that I've worked for the district, I've only ever had ONE Aidan/Aiden in my program. I've also only ever had ONE Liam. I find that really surprising too!
Also, ALL of the Angels at my school are MALE!

I don't have an explanation for Areyona or Delyla, however, Huntington's dad is/was an avid surfer and she was named after Huntington Beach in California. When I first had her in my after-school class, I was like "well, that's interesting" but it actually totally fits her - she is a Huntington!
