I'm obviously not going to use it (having a girl) and its really just curiosity at this point about how it's perceived outside of France... A classic, vintage, but unique name.
DH hates it. I actually enjoy some of Anatole France's poetry (and I'm not usually big on poetry) and our first apartment after we got married was in a street named after him so I think that adds to my sentimentality about the name.
IDK... if in a few years we have a boy maybe he'll like it better. It goes really well with Héloïse IMO. They sound like perfect sibling names, both uncommon, both old-fashioned, both enjoying a tiny bit of a comeback in France (without being anywhere near a top 10 list, but they aren't unheard of), both literary historic names.

Umm, I have thoughts of swear words that involve the nether region. I would be wary of it in the US, at least.

Ah. Hm. It's not really my style but it would definitely be unique. I've never met anyone with this name before.

I feel like it would be a better name for a character than a real person, at least in the states. IMO
