I'm obviously not going to use it (having a girl) and its really just curiosity at this point about how it's perceived outside of France... A classic, vintage, but unique name.
DH hates it. I actually enjoy some of Anatole France's poetry (and I'm not usually big on poetry) and our first apartment after we got married was in a street named after him so I think that adds to my sentimentality about the name.
IDK... if in a few years we have a boy maybe he'll like it better. It goes really well with Héloïse IMO. They sound like perfect sibling names, both uncommon, both old-fashioned, both enjoying a tiny bit of a comeback in France (without being anywhere near a top 10 list, but they aren't unheard of), both literary historic names.
