This stinks! I make a list of names I like and he rules out all but 3 on each...I had 4 boys names so far so he only eliminated one name but for girls I had like...15 names! It sucks because he says "I don't like it" and I have to just eliminate them from the list. Even if HIS top 3 aren't my top 3...just because the names are all on the same list doesn't mean I feel the same about all of them..some I like more than others. I didn't even get to name my DD what I really wanted to name her because "Kara Paige" was the only name he put a star next to of a TON of names on my list..UGH!

When I first found out that I was pregnant, my DH wouldn't budge on names. He likes names like John, Jane, Joe, and Bob. He likes names that he hears a million of everyday. I am opposite. I hate names that are popular and want my child to be the only one in her class, maybe even school with that name. After vetoing nearly all of my names we decided on Max and Amelia. My suggestion would be to come up with some sort of compromise. Or...if you keep mentioning the same name over and over he might just get used to it.

Oh I could have written this post I wanted an uncommon name for our dd Emily but he kept saying everything sounded like a sci-fi novel. We did amicably agree on Emily but I still wish we had chosen something a bit different. Now that I'm pg again we're having the exact same dispute we did before. Although I do keep mentioning my favorite to him over and over hoping he'll just say yes I think if you hold off until you actually deliver he may just be to awestruck to fight you

I am going through the same with my DH. We have 2 boys names with both love and 0 girl names. We find out the sex on Tuesday, but I have a feeling we are going to need a girl name. I am trying not to let it stress me out. It's too early to know for sure that yours is a girl, how are the boy names going for you?[/b]

Boy names so far are ok...We agree on two we both really like. I don't think it'll be hard at all..BUT..I have a feeling we won't be having a boy considering the fact that his dad had 5 girls before having a boy. If Nick has that in him..I'd bet he's mostly shooting out girls!!!

i am in the same boat with the girl names we can agree on boy names but never on girl names the only one we ever agreed on is now out cause it has become popular and we dont want that it was madison michelle so he would call her his little m&m which is adorable but i am not feeling it anymore that was 4 yrs ago!! he also thinks if he doesnt agree on a girl name that we wont have one which is crazy!! i keep saying she will be the only baby in the nursery without a name if he keeps thinking that way!! we have to great boys and i feel as though this one is going to be a girl even though it is early i am only 7 weeks but i did the chinese gender chart and it said girl and it was right with my boys sooooo he better start thinking or else he'll just have to go with whatever i choose!!! some names i like are:
1. julianna
2. violet
3. isabella
4. mirah
