Please give me some ideas for baby #3.

My husband doesn't offer any suggestions, so I have to come up with them on my own and he doesn't like most of them. I prefer more traditional names, he prefers more trendy or normal names that can't have anything associated with it, like if it was a common name for a cartoon character or something he would turn it down. Because our tastes are so different, it is hard to find something we both love.

Right now, our names are Julie Rose and Benjamin Thomas (Ben). I just wonder if there is anything else out there we haven't already discussed. I'm not even 12 weeks yet, so we have lots of time to decide.

My other kids are Rebecca and Nathan (Nate). What are some names you think go well with the other two?

I like the names you chose. I am a traditionalist, too, so I'm very partial to the non-trendy names that never go out of style. I think the ones you mentioned are perfect!

thank you so much! I worry about Ben being too popular, but then again Nathan isn't the least common name either. the other thing about Ben is that there is a 2 year old in my church named Ben and my family knows his family really well. I wouldn't want it to be weird or confusing. it would probably be fine, I am just over thinking things. as for Julie, not a lot of people seem to like it but I think it's pretty and I don't associate it with "the 70s" the way others seem to. I like Juliet, which I think is classic, but Julie sounds way better with our last name.

I think your names are really cute. I actually do love trendy/uncommon names, but the traditional ones you picked are very nice. Ben is a good name. It's common, but not EVERYONE is named Ben right now, and it sounds good with Nate. I also love Juliet (and you could call her Julie for short, but it would sound more like a full name).

Some traditional boy name faves of mine are Joshua and James. How does he feel about "Skylar"? It's unisex, it's not super new and trendy, but there's not a ton of them around that I have met. For girls, I love Aubrey, Collette, Evelyn (Evie)...

thanks for the reply, Allie.

Juliet is nice for sure, but we find the extra syllable in Juliet and Julia to be too much with our last name, which is hyphenated, and both names are male French names. our last name sucks

we have a very large family so most of the names we would go for are taken. skylar is nms and doesn't seem to go well with my other two, at least not in my head. I like Aubrey and Evelyn is nice, I have an aunt colette

Julie is an awesome name and I say that cause it's my name lol, but if want a little different my name is spelled Julee. And it is my given real name. Most people think it is a nickname or I spell if odd for fun, but no it's just Julee and that is how my mom spelled it on my birth certificate.
