If we have another daughter, I want to name her middle name after my mother and step-mother, who share a first name, Niki/Nikki. However, I don't like the sound of Nikki with the names that I've narrowed my list down to, which is Meredith or Miranda. I really like the name Anika though, so I was wondering if that would work as a tribute to my mom/step-mom? What do you think about the different variations of Nik/ki?
(Listed in order of my preference)
(very luke-warm about Nikita but like it a lot more than the other variations besides Anika)
(really, really nms but an option)
(just listed because I know it will be suggested and it is really nms lol)
None of my children are named the same name as their namesake, like Norah is named after her grandfather Norman and Nathaniel's middle name was part of his grandfather's favorite name. So even if Nikki did sound good with the names I chose, I don't want to name our potential daughter straight after my mom/stepmom since that isn't how we named our other children.
