I don't love it. In my opinion, it is important to remember that this name is going to belong to an adult someday, and I would want my child to be taken seriously no matter what they aspire to. I am not saying that Rex is silly or anything. I think that if you like it, you should go for it. That is just some advice I got and thought I'd pass it along.
I was looking at my family tree the other day that my grandfather made for his North Carolina ancestors going back to the 1600s and there was a Rexford in there somewhere. A first name, Rexford. Just a thought!
