I have so many people I'd love to honor in my future children's names, that I am thinking about giving them two middle names. Especially considering how I want like 5 kids and my husband wants 2. So I'll probably have a lot of names left over! What do you think? Classic or pretentious? Here are some combos I like...
Charlotte Elizabeth Cora "Charlie" OR Charlotte Cora
Cecelia Helena Kate "Cece" OR Cecelia Kate
Caroline Catherine Grace OR Caroline Grace
Katerine Elizabeth Rose "Kit" OR Katerine Rose
Everett David Calvin OR Everett Calvin
Griffin Keaton James OR Griffin James
Henry Brian Lee OR Henry Brian
I prefer the classic route however love baby names so understand wanting to use two middle names whether to honor more family member or use more fabulous names. The only thing I never understood is that the child will almost always drop one of the middle names and mostly use one of their middle names. I like my children using the names I give them and not altering so this is why I personally didn't even consider two middle names.
I'll be giving a son 2 middle names because both DH & I want to honour our fathers...our daughter will have just the one. I think it's totally a personal preference, and likely something that's only going to be on their birth certificate! Like Memi said, they will likely drop one anyway. If you want to do this to honour a family member, I say go for it.
