Zoe. Zoey, to me, looks like the mom didn't realize how the name Zoe is usually pronounced.

I prefer the tradition Zoe. To me Zoey looks like youre just trying to be set the name apart by the spelling which im not a fan of.

I know this is MY problem, but I never, ever pronounce Zoe "Zoey", I automatically say "Zo" like Joe, or toe. my dad is Joe and I think that's why my mind always thinks that way. So I prefer Zoey.

Thanks! I wanted to do the Y at first because I also think "Zo." But it seems the majority of people on this and other sites prefer it without the y. I've noticed EVERYTIME we tell someone we will name her "Zoey with a y" we have to explain the y part. I don't want her to have to go her whole life having to say "Zoey with a y" and constantly have people looking perplexed.
I'm so torn because I like the y better!
