What do you think of Ada for a girl?[/b]
I think Ada is really cute. It is on my list after I found out through family history that I have at least one Ada--but they spelled it "Adah"--from way back when. Which spelling do you prefer? Ada or Adah? I like both.

I think Ada is a cute nickname. For me, its too short to be a full name. I like Adalynn.

I prefer the spelling Ada, Adah looks like its meant to be said "Add-Ah" instead of "A-Duh".

Or, how were you pronouncing it?

You are right--Adah does look like "Add-ah", I had never thought of it that way but now that you said it, it really does! I always said it "A-Duh" but I have no idea how it was pronounced a hundred years ago & there's no one alive in my family who would remember either. Oh well! I like it said A-Duh best.

I like it!! Pronounced A-duh. . . . it reminds me a lot of my great grandmothers name which was Vida (pronounced Vy-duh)

I think Ada is kinda cute, prefer it spelled Aida or Ayda... but I don't think I'd ever use it on one of my children.

I love the name Adalynn... but to ME its pronounced Add-ah-lynn... thats why I would spell it Addalyn. I pronouce Ada totally different by itself (A-da instead of Add-ah in Adalyn).
