Forgive me if I'm being dense, but I don't understand, if you don't like Joanna, why do you like Johanna? They are exactly the same name, pronounced the same and the only way you can tell the difference is in writing. Am I missing something?
What mlbsnb above me said. The H is not silent. So there is a difference between the two names.
That is weird, I have 3 friends with that name (spelled with the H) and they are pronounced Joanna, or Joawna. The H is silent, It's a french name, and is pronounced the same as without the H in my neck of the woods. I've never heard anyone pronounce the H.
You think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you, but if you walk the footsteps of stranger, you'll learn things you knew... you never knew.
Johanna- love this. This was use in a TV series and the role was so classy and nice.
Joanna- not recommending these. the people I knew with these names are totally not a good girl, hardheaded though they are kind and sweet.
Larissa- Don't know anyone with this name.
Lucinda- To old school, not a fan. I prefer Lucille.
