I posted this in the hangout forum but I think I posted it in the wrong place


My husband are ttc #1 and we have had names picked out since before we were married. But now I am not loving the middle names we chose. So the other night I gave DH a list with some different middle names and he liked them all.

Boy:

Nathaniel Davis--(the original combo and DH's favorite)
Nathaniel Walker--(this took the place of the original combo a while back and this is my favorite)
Nathaniel James--(James is my DH's and FIL name and also my gpa's name)
Nathaniel Cade


Girl:

McKinley Mae--(the original combo but with our last name starting with "M" also is it too much?)
McKinley Rose--(my grandma loved roses)
McKinley Ruth
McKinley Faith
McKinley Grace

We are having trouble getting pregnant and I thought Grace and Faith kind of fit with what we are going through

Davis, Walker, James, Mae, and Ruth are all grandparent or great-grandparent names.

Any other suggestions?

Just a personal opinion, but I am a real sucker for names that stem from family members from previous generations. My middle name is Carol, which I hate, but it was my great-grandma's name, and also my mom's middle name. So I'm kind of proud that I was special enough to be named after someone. So for me, I would lean more towards those names.

(BTW, I love the name Ruth, so that one gets my vote!)

I love all of the girl middle names, but I am not a fan of McKinley, or any other Mc/Mac name, to be honest.

I think Rose, Ruth, and Grace all make GREAT first names!

Nathaniel James gets my vote for a boy name.
