It's a tradition in my friend's family. Her brother's daughters share the same mn and my friend is planning to do the same with her daughters. I think it's sweet.

It's not something I would be because I'm a big fan of individuality...but if it was a family tradition that was really important to me...maybe two middle names??

I'd do it...I've actually considered it only b/c I love my daughters middle name so much (Seraphina)and I almost wanted to use it again for this baby's first name :/ When I chose my daughters name I though I would never get lucky enough to get another girl so I used my 2 favorite names up lol Now I'm really struggling with this one to come up with something I like as much!

it's not really my style. I love naming, and having the same names would take the fun out of it in a way for me. Plus, it seems like lack of individuality between siblings. It's one thing to name them after a parent or grandparent as an honor to them, but siblings are different to me. My husband and his brother both have the middle name "Vincent" after their grandfather and it just always seemed weird to me. Like they couldn't think of a more creative way to honor him the second time. lol That's just me though.

I love names so have too many I want to use to just use a similar name for multiple children. It has always struck me as odd TBH and assume the parents couldnt think of anything else.

In our tradition having the same mn is not popular but having the same fist is...
Mary ann, Mary Rose, MAry Grace...something like that..but I would not consider it to my kids.

I'm not really a fan of siblings sharing the same middle name. But I can certainly understand the desire to follow family tradition.
