I've been anxious for a confirmatory ultrasound to make sure that my little one is indeed a girl so that I can move forward with buying gender specific items and to choose a solid name. Anyways, these are the names I have picked out:
Delilah for a girl
Colt or Wesley for a boy
Possibilities of middle names include:
Sage, May, or Rosaline
James, or Wesley
I'm thinking Sage is the best option for the girl name since Delilah is kind of a mouth full. However, I'm unsure of the name in the event that ladybug turns out to be a little boy. Baby's father is MIA right now and I'm unsure of what's going to happen. Colt was his first and only pick for a boy name so I want to honor his wishes there, but James is his middle name and I feel like if I choose Colt James as the name and he continues to be unsupportive, then I might regret giving my son such a personal name that will remind me of his dad. Is that a rational fear?
I love Delilah and it goes well with all three middle names that you like. Delilah Sage is my favorite.
I like Colt and Wesley but prefer Wesley.

I love Delilah-beautiful, feminine, soft yet strong name. I much prefer Colt to Wesley. However I would not give my son the first name his father chose and his father's middle name if he and I were not in a committed, married relationship. Including Colt or James as the middle name would give the child a connection with his father without making your son's name a negative experience for you.
