My husband and I are expecting. We usually don't see eye to eye on many baby names. However, we are both in love with the name Adelaide for a little girl. The only problem is picking a first name can be really difficult because our last name is Cox. Kids will be kids and make jokes no matter what her first name is. So my question is: Does the name Adelaide Cox sound ok or will she get teased for eternity? I assume she will get married one day and her last name will change... eventually. Does anyone have any middle name suggestions?

Addie is a potential nickname option. Ada would obviously not be a good nickname choice for her (ate-a-cox). Lordy!

I feel Adelyn is too trendy with all of the Addisons, etc.

I like Adelaide! I think it's fine with Cox. Like you said if kids are going to tease they'll do it no matter what 1st name you pick. My maiden name is french with a Del in front. Nothing you'd think kids would find to pick on but I got Duh.... all the time.
