Found out Im pregnant this weekend and we need a girls name! Now for the hard part! We will be honoring my mother by using her name for a middle name if its a girl. However its really hard to find first names that go with Melinda! Now for the other hard part! My fiancee likes really unique names like Adalaya and Iona but they dont work with Melinda and honestly I dont really like them. Really need unique names that sound good with the middle name Melinda. Thank you in advance for all suggestions! Last name is Keith by the way though I dont think it matters to much.

This is just another suggestion (since I can't personally think of any names that would work well with Melinda as the middle name), but what about making Melinda the first name, but calling her by her middle name. That way the name probably sounds better. All of the suggestions below sound much better in my head switched around. What do you think?

mommy to princess I agree with you but I love my mom but dont really like her name and if I gave the baby Melinda for a first name people my family would call her that. This is exactly why im having problems its hard to find a name that suits well with Melinda.

XC keep throwing suggestions out please and the more made up it sounds the better chance James may like :C so maybe meet in the middle some where. I really love the Aria name I actually had considered it before but anything that ends in an a dosnt sound right with the mn

What's your mom's middle name? I wanted to name my dd after my grandmother but didn't like her middle name at all - Alberta . So I used her middle name Lucinda.

I thought about that as well but her middle name is Ann so if I used it I would feel like I wasnt naming my child after her.

I don't know how well these will go but the girl names I love are Eva (will be our girls name if I ever have a girl), Myra, Helena, Lena, Edie, Josephine..not really unusual names, but ones you don't hear too often.
