We decided on the name Alexander (nn Alex) very early in my pregnancy but now I'm really liking the name Theodore. His middle name will be Clay, but I think both Alexander and Theodore sound good with that middle name.
Note, we know Alexander is in the top 10 on the SSA but that doesn't matter to us.
DH doesn't like Theodore but I think I could convince him. If we went with that name, his nickname would be Ted, though I would call him Theodore equally as often. If his name was Alexander, he would almost exclusively be called Alex. Our last name doesn't resemble either name.
What do you think? Alexander Clay or Theodore Clay?
I love both names but I voted for Alexander because I'm not a huge fan of the nn Ted. I like Alex a lot better. If you were going to call him Theo, I would have a much harder time deciding! Either is a great choice; you really can't go wrong.
